Waterfalls come in all shapes and sizes, and some even have different colors thanks to the rocks underneath the swirling water. Angel Falls, otherwise known as Salto Angel in Spanish, means ‘waterfall of the deepest place.’ This is located in South America, within the Canaima National Park. The drop is 979 meters, however there is a total of 47 drops within the entire waterfall.
The Augrabies Falls is located on the Orange River in South Africa. The falls are about 60m tall, and residents have named it Ankoerebis, or ‘place of big noises.’ The gorge at the falls is 240m deep and 18m long.
The Baatara Gorge Waterfall is located in Tannourine, Lebanon. The waterfall descends into the Baatara Pothole along the Lebanon Mountain Trail. The water falls behind three bridges and down into a 250 meter chasm.
Barron Falls is the spot where Barron River descends into the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland, Australia. The falls are protected in the Barron Gorge national Park, and generally only has a lot of water after heavy rainfall in the wet season.
