For those of you who have been keeping track of the baby-gender-reveal-using-balloons trend, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you see yet another one coming your way!
But this one doesn’t end with a proposal, like the reveal for this engaged couple, or an unexpected visitor, as with this happy family. No, this one ends with a bit of a shock — not so much to the mom and dad, but to the rest of the family.
Let’s rewind for a minute: On May 12, 2016, Eric and Nataliya Tarbert were planning a grand baby gender reveal for their third child, so they invited several family members to join in on the fun.
The couple built a box filled with balloons and brought it to their family’s open field in Alaska. The family recorded everything as they egged the parents on to open the box and reveal the answer.
In the video, Eric and Nataliya do as they’re asked, and pink balloons fly out and up into the sky — a girl! A girl! But then, moments later, blue balloons also pop up from underneath the box.
There was no doubt that Eric and Nataliya were having just one child. So what could this confusion have meant?
