Taco Bell isn't simply a fast-food chain — it's an experience. Usually one that takes place at 1 AM when you and your drunken friends stumble into a nearby location in desperate need of tacos.
Because what late night snack isn't improved by the addition of fried chicken?
The poultry-based taco shell, made of all-white meat chicken, Mexican spices, and seasoning, is filled with lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese and avocado ranch dressing.
Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing officer at Taco Bell Corp, even issued a punny press release on the matter:
"Something this delicious yet different is bound to ruffle some feathers; some might even cluck their tongues at it. However, we feel confident that once our fans get a taste of the Naked Chicken Chalupa they are going to understand exactly why this is our next big, fun and craveable innovation, following in the footsteps of the Doritos Locos Tacos five years ago and the Quesalupa just last year."
These chicken-y slices of heaven will be available nationwide beginning on January 26th, costing you only $2.99 each.
If you're feeling particularly hungry and frugal, you can also enjoy some naked chicken in a combo with a Doritos Locos Taco, crunchy taco, and medium drink for $5.
